Peer Review Proccess
Sinomics Journal implements a robust double-blind peer review process to ensure high-quality publications in social sciences, education, communication, and economics. This approach maintains anonymity for both authors and reviewers, preventing bias and promoting objective, honest feedback while aligning with OJS best practices for Indonesian journals.
Submission Screening
All manuscripts undergo initial administrative checks for format, length, language, and scope fit by the journal administrator. Editors then perform a preliminary evaluation for originality, scientific merit, and relevance—without accessing author identities—ensuring unsuitable submissions are rejected within one month.
Author Confirmation
After submission, authors must confirm receipt by emailing the editor at sinomicsjournal@gmail.com or via WhatsApp at +6281238426727. This step verifies submission details and initiates the formal review process.
Manuscript Blinding and Reviewer Assignment
Section editors anonymize manuscripts by removing all identifying information (e.g., author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and self-references) before assignment. They then select at least two independent reviewers with expertise matching the manuscript's topic from the journal's database. Reviewers receive blinded guidelines focusing on methodology, clarity, ethics, and contribution to the field, with no access to author details.
Review Timeline and Outcomes
Reviews complete within 2-4 weeks, evaluating originality, methodological soundness, result presentation, referencing, and plagiarism. Possible decisions include accept, minor/major revisions, or reject; conflicting reviews prompt a third blinded opinion from an additional reviewer.
Revision and Final Decision
Authors revise based on reviewer comments (provided without reviewer identities), resubmitting with a response letter and ensuring the revised manuscript remains fully anonymized. Revised manuscripts return to the original reviewers for re-evaluation; the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision, notifying authors promptly via OJS workflow.
