Peer Review Process

Overview

Manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Social Science, Education, Communication and Economics undergo initial editorial screening followed by blind review by at least two independent experts. This process typically takes 4-8 weeks, aligning with standards from platforms like Open Journal Systems (OJS).

Step-by-Step Process

1. Submission

Authors submit manuscripts via the OJS online system at sinomicsjournal.com/index.php/SJ/. The editorial office confirms receipt and checks for completeness, adherence to guidelines, and plagiarism using tools like Turnitin (threshold <20%).

2. Editorial Assessment

The Editor-in-Chief or section editors evaluate suitability for the journal's scope (social sciences, education, communication, economics), originality, and methodological soundness. Unsuitable papers are desk-rejected promptly.

3. Reviewer Assignment

Two or more reviewers with relevant expertise are invited. Identities remain anonymous in double-blind review. Reviewers assess novelty, rigor, clarity, and contribution.

4. Review Evaluation

Reviewers provide detailed feedback within 2-4 weeks, recommending accept, minor/major revisions, or reject. The editor synthesizes reports and may consult additional reviewers if needed.

5. Decision and Revisions

Authors receive the decision with anonymized comments. Revised manuscripts are re-reviewed until satisfactory. Final acceptance leads to copy-editing and proofreading.

Outcomes

Decisions include: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. Accepted papers are published online as open access PDFs. Appeals go to the Editor-in-Chief.
